Thursday 28 August (9.00 pm | free entry | info and table bookings: 3343429268 – nuvole@ilcastellovolante.it) on the terraces of Nuvole, the bar and bistro at Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto, guitarist, singer-songwriter and composer Antonio Crisci and performer, actress, singer and dancer Benedetta Lusito will present “Crossing over”.
The project offers an original experiment in musical fusion, understood as the blending and interweaving of songs, styles and musical languages. Through a delicate process of mash-ups, the musicians interweave different melodies, rhythms and lyrics, giving rise to original and unique compositions. The two voices harmonise and engage in a dialogue, drawing on their differences in timbre and vocal colour. The repertoire spans singer-songwriter music, pop and world music, reinterpreting artists such as Franco Battiato, Lucio Dalla, Pino Daniele, Domenico Modugno, Teresa De Sio, Nada, Caetano Veloso, Simon & Garfunkel and many others with surprising twists and creative touches. A musical journey capable of transforming famous songs into new listening experiences, thanks to creativity and exploration.
