On Friday 13 June (9.30 pm – free entry), the terrace of Nuvole, the cocktail bar and bistro at the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto, will host an evening dedicated to the 1980s. A musical journey that will take the audience back to the atmosphere of that decade, from New Romantic and rock sounds to New Wave and post-punk rhythms.
Taking to the stage will be LIVE BIT, a trio comprising Gabriele Caniglia (vocals and guitar), Andrea Baccassino (vocals and bass) and Carmen Maruccio (vocals). A line-up that stands out for its careful selection of songs and a performance that blends energy with sophistication. Far from being a mere ‘tribute band’, LIVE BIT presents a repertoire performed entirely live and acoustically, paying homage to the classics of the 1980s with arrangements faithful to the original versions.
The set list features the sounds of iconic international bands such as Toto, The Alan Parsons Project, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode, Simple Minds and the Pet Shop Boys, alongside big Italian names including Matia Bazar, Alice, Bertè, Battiato, Mannoia and Lucio Dalla.
From 6.30 pm, you can enjoy an aperitif whilst sipping a cocktail from the list carefully curated by Michele Contini.
