A photographic exhibition on southern ethno-anthropology, to be discovered whilst strolling through the narrow streets and courtyards of the old town of Corigliano d’Otranto.
A selection of images drawn from historical archives, including the Franco Pinna Archive – the photographer who accompanied Ernesto de Martino on his research trips to the ‘Land of Remorse’ in search of the surviving traces of tarantism. The photographs selected for this open-air exhibition depict people and landscapes captured in June 1959, during his stay in Salento.
The exhibition is funded by the Apulia Region’s ‘Info Point Enhancement’ Call for Proposals – 2024.
