On Saturday 30 November (9.30 pm – admission €15 – advance tickets available on Dice.fm), Diaframma return to the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto for a date on their tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of *Siberia*.
Released in 1984, the debut album by the Tuscan band – formed in the late 1970s – had a profound impact on the Italian music scene with its melancholic and dark sound, influenced by British new wave and post-punk, and was ranked seventh in Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 best Italian albums. Founder, songwriter, guitarist, singer and frontman Federico Fiumani and the band will perform the album’s eight original tracks (Siberia, Neogrigio, Impronte, Amsterdam, Delorenzo, Memoria, Specchi d’acqua, Desiderio del nulla), as well as other tracks from their vast discography. For over forty years, following a brief hiatus in 1988, Diaframma have continued to produce music, remaining a constant presence with a sound that ranges from rock to new wave and alternative. Fiumani always tells stories with his characteristic sincerity, exploring personal relationships and offering his vision of life. Among their most recent works are *L’abisso* (2018) and *Ora* (2022).
