Saturday 20 July (9.30 pm, admission €12) marks the first date of Coolclub’s SEI Festival at the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto
EMMA NOLDE
We’ve been saying it since 2020: Emma Nolde is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the voices shaping the future of Italian music.
The young Tuscan singer-songwriter returns to Castello Volante with “SOLO NON SOLA”. The new show will see the artist playing four instruments, sometimes together, sometimes separately. There will be a new lighting design to illuminate the darkness on stage. On 5 June, ‘Mai fermi’ will be released – a new single and a new musical chapter in Emma Nolde’s career.
SANTAMAREA
Three very young brothers, a sister by choice, the seafront promenade of Carini – a small village near Palermo – and a boundless love for their homeland. Through their words and music, Santamarea manage to tug at certain heartstrings that flutter like the sea breeze. Last year, the band won the 34th edition of the Musicultura festival and was selected by Etro’s creative director to compose the soundtrack for the Milan Fashion Week show.
LA MUSICA DI FORTE
A diary of experiences spanning folk, indie-pop and singer-songwriting: “La musica di Forte” is Lorenzo Forte’s project. Born in Salento in 1988, this self-taught singer and guitarist began writing his songs on his father’s old guitar in a small summer cottage just a stone’s throw from the sea. His latest album, “ENI”, is an account of stories lived and observed, but also the result of a great friendship. An authentic and complex album that seeks to express and understand everything we often keep to ourselves. Romantic, intimate and melancholic, the singer-songwriter tells stories of everyday life that, in one way or another, belong to each and every one of us. A journey through vintage sounds, singer-songwriter-style melodies, cryptic lyrics and arrangements that are at times explosive, at times minimalist.
