On Saturday 15 June, the terraces of Nuvole – the cocktail bar and bistro at the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto – will host an evening of football, music and fine dining. From 6.30 pm, guests can enjoy an aperitif and sample the revamped menu created by chef Diletta Bagordo, whilst sipping a drink from the list carefully curated by Michele Contini.
At 9.00 pm, the kick-off for Italy v Albania marks the debut of Luciano Spalletti’s Azzurri in the group stage of the 2024 European Championship in Germany.
At 11.00 pm, to keep the party going, the “Electro Balkan Festa” gets underway. Dubin, Vivaz and Sorge – three DJs who have always made musical fusion their common thread – will take the audience on a ‘match’ between electronic music and Balkan sounds, paying tribute to the Land of the Eagles.
Dubin, DJ and producer with the Salento-based duo Insintesi and organiser of the Tropical Party Salento, has been a champion of low-frequency music for over twenty-five years. His sets are a mix of reggae, dub, tropical music and world sounds. He has performed at clubs and international music festivals in Italy and abroad and has collaborated with, amongst others, Dr Das (Asian Dub Foundation), Sud Sound System, Congorock, Zion Train, Papet J (Massilia Sound System) and General Levy.
Vivaz, a DJ and producer, co-founder of Squat Party and the Salentini Generali artistic movement, is the founder of the duo Codefish & Tuna alongside Andrea “Andro” Mariano of Negramaro. He has headlined the opening acts for major shows including Moby, The Cure, Planet Funk and Jeff Mills, and has performed at Italy’s top clubs such as Cocoricò, Magazzini Generali, Tenax, Matis and Vox, amongst others.
Sorge is a DJ with a passion for 90s house music, possessing a deep understanding of Balkan and electronic sounds. A regular fixture at events organised by Tropical Party Salento, his sets reflect his eclectic and party-loving personality.
