You have until Thursday 30 May to sign up for “Lasciami qui”: from Monday 3 to Wednesday 12 June at the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto, the 18th edition of CoolClub’s SEI Festival, with the slogan “Perdersi per Ritrovarsi” (Losing Yourself to Find Yourself), will host a free community theatre workshop led by the actress, author, educator and cultural organiser Alessandra De Luca. The workshop will draw on the lyrics of songs by CCCP – *Fedeli alla linea* – who will be performing at the festival on 9 August in Melpignano. Given their significance and poetic depth, these lyrics lend themselves easily both to theatrical adaptation and to evoking a wealth of memories, memories and emotional connections in anyone who engages with them, even those who, being unfamiliar with the band, are hearing or reading them for the first time. Participants will be invited, through the playful and communal practices of theatre, to manipulate texts and words, each of which will be like a drawer that, when opened, will give rise to small personal stories or grand public narratives, ultimately constructing an emotional and sensory, but also historical and cultural, map. The seven sessions (3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11 and 12 June – from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm) will conclude on Thursday 13 June at 8.00 pm with a travelling performance taking place throughout the halls and terraces of Castello Volante. The workshop is free and open to everyone (professionals and members of the public alike, even those with no theatre experience). Registration via the online form (urly.it/3_znd) closes on Thursday 30 May at 12.00.
