On Sunday 11 June from 9.00 pm (free entry), there’s another live music event on the terrace of Nuvole, the cocktail bar and bistro at the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto.
Cellist and composer Luca Basile, accompanied by producer Domenico Stricchiola, will perform tracks from his debut album *Il Viaggio*. In this solo project, the Taranto-born musician brings together his well-established artistic maturity and his previous musical experiences (having released three albums with the Elegy of Madness project) in a wide-ranging work, recently released by the Turin-based label INRI Classic, produced by Arten and distributed by Universal.
Every track on “Il Viaggio” is, in some way, dedicated to a particular moment in life or to a specific stage – whether in terms of age, emotion or experience: birth, growth, creation, and the mysterious journey of our subjectivity, along a unique and unrepeatable path, which is ultimately what we call ‘destiny’.
This album is also a sort of personal and professional autobiography of the artist, recounting the encounters of his life; encounters in which music has always served as the backdrop and the beating heart of every decision made, every experience lived and every choice taken.
From 7 pm, before the concert, you can enjoy an aperitif featuring Nuvole’s cocktails and sample the revamped menu created by chefs Andrea Mazzola and Diletta Bagordo
