Sunday 4 June from 9.00 pm (free entry): another live music event on the terrace of Nuvole, the cocktail bar and bistro at the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto.
Accompanied by guitarist Franco Chirivì, singer and guitarist Luigi Bruno will be performing. He is the founder of Collettivo Sbam and Ill Sun Records, the creator and artistic director of the Sagra del Diavolo, coordinator of the Musica Noscia project, and leader of the Mediterranean Psychedelic Orkestra and Muffx.
Over the years, Bruno has performed in clubs and at festivals in Italy, England, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain and Greece, collaborating with some of the leading figures on the Apulian music scene and with major names in Italian and international experimental rock such as Richard Sinclair (Caravan, Soft Machine, Camel), Claudio Simonetti (Goblin) and Aldo Tagliapietra (formerly of Le Orme).
Franco Chirivì, a guitarist and composer, loves to explore different musical genres. He has collaborated on numerous projects ranging from jazz to funk (Stefano Di Battista, Mike Stern, the James Taylor Quartet, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Alessandro Quarta), from classical and film music to pop (Sarah Jane Morris, Ornella Vanoni, Toquinho, Franco Simone, Patrizia Bulgari, Tony Dallara), with numerous appearances in orchestras and ensembles. He has also taken part in many recording projects (Anima, Guido Pistocchi, Gabriele Poso, Osunlade) and toured around the world. In recent years, he has also released the solo albums “Nas Cordas” (Dodicilune, 2019) and “Meandri” (Workin’ Label, 2022).
At Castello Volante, the duo will present a repertoire featuring tracks from the musicians’ various projects, well-known pieces and film soundtracks. From Muffx’s songs to forays into world music and Balkan sounds, the show is a non-stop performance that never loses its intensity, woven together by a musical thread of solos and melodies that captivate from the very first listen.
From 7 pm, before the concert, you can enjoy an aperitif with cocktails from Nuvole and sample the revamped menu created by chefs Andrea Mazzola and Diletta Bagordo
