A stroll through the stories and curiosities of Corigliano d’Otranto Castle in the company of Rossella Barletta
How did the nobility spend their days in the 16th century? What furnishings adorned the rooms in which they lived? What clothes did they wear, and what were the ‘weaknesses’ of the men and women of noble birth who, over the years, have lived there?
Come and find out on Saturday 1 October at 6.30 pm with our guide Chiara Costantino and Rossella Barletta, a scholar and author of numerous books on local culture and folklore.
Rossella Barletta, author of the book *IL CASTELLO DI CORIGLIANO D’OTRANTO, Intreccio di storia e di personaggi sul filo dell’immaginazione* (The Castle of Corigliano d’Otranto: A Tapestry of History and Characters Woven by the Thread of Imagination), has been researching the historical, folkloric, anthropological, artisanal and gastronomic heritage of the Salento region for over forty years. She has published over 30 books with Grifo Editore, many of which are available in our bookshop.
For those opting for the tour plus aperitif, the tour will conclude at Nuvole, the bistro on the castle terraces, where you’ll have the chance to chat with Rossella Barletta in an informal setting over a drink.
