On Wednesday 29 December (free entry – 7.30 pm – Super Green Pass required), the Christmas events at the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto, organised under the ‘Natale al Castello’ banner, continue with musical selections by DJ Dubin.
Dubin, DJ and producer with the Salento-based duo Insintesi, has been a champion of low-frequency music for over twenty years: his DJ sets are a mix of dub, bass music and world music sounds. Dubin has released four albums and numerous singles and remixes on vinyl; ‘Salento in dub’ remains one of the best-known and most highly regarded albums from the Salento region to this day. He has collaborated at both national and international levels with artists from the world music, dub and electronic scenes, such as Dr Das (Asian Dub Foundation), Sud Sound System, Zion Train, Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, Papet J (Massilia Sound System) and General Levy. He has also performed at international clubs and music festivals in various Italian and European cities. During the evening, guests will be able to sample Nuovole’s street food and premium gin drinks menu (table bookings recommended on 3343429268), where the culinary culture of Salento meets that of the peoples who have passed through the region, giving rise to unique flavours.
