Following her time with the band “Lola And The Lovers”, in 2012 Sofia Brunetta – singer, songwriter, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist – embarked on a solo career and moved to Montréal (Canada), where she forged relationships and collaborations with local artists and took part in major independent music events, including the 2012 Indie Week festival in Toronto and the 2013 One Man Band Festival in Montréal. She has supported Cat Power, Emir Kusturica, Hollie Cook, A Toys Orchestra, Hugo Race, Cristiano Godano and Riccardo Sinigallia. He was one of three winners out of over 600 artists who entered Controradio Firenze’s “Rock Contest 2014” and was among the semi-finalists in the 2015 contest for the Sziget Festival and Home Sound Fest. In January 2015, the music video for her first single “Arthur And I” was premiered on “Repubblica TV”. On 9 June 2015, the album “Former” (Piccola Bottega Popolare / Audioglobe / The Orchard) was released, with artistic production by Giovanni Ottini. It received favourable reviews from Italy’s leading music magazines and blogs (including Mucchio Selvaggio, Rockerilla, Rumore, XL Repubblica) and promoted throughout Italy and beyond with a tour comprising over 80 concerts, including opening for several dates at the theatres on Malika Ayane’s “Naïf” tour. On 25 March 2016, “Former” was released and promoted in Germany, Austria and Switzerland by Rough Trade and supported by an international tour. The third video and single, “Take Me Somewhere”, premiered on stern.de. Sofia performed on the Light Stage at the 2016 Sziget Festival (Budapest). In June 2017, she released “Paper Plane to Saigon”, a song for which she shot the entire music video herself whilst travelling in Cambodia and Vietnam. She took part in a collaboration on the album “Nandu Popu meets Bundamove” and performed at several La Municipàl concerts as a keyboardist and backing vocalist. In 2018 and 2019, she worked on the production of her second album “Evolver”, released in October 2020 on the record label “Virgo Vibes”, founded by the artist herself. “Evolver” was produced in collaboration with Filippo Bubbico, and was preceded by the music video for the single “Muddy Road”, released on 14 July 2020.
Born in 1997, Alberto Tuma enrolled at the “Tito Schipa” Conservatoire of Music in Lecce after leaving school, where he studied jazz guitar, channelling his passion for music – alongside his love of writing – into his studies. His songs tell stories of everyday life – simple tales, some based on personal experience and others not – seen through the eyes of an ordinary, penniless student living from hand to mouth with his flatmates, convinced that, as a close friend of his would say, all it takes to feel good is a guitar and a bottle of rum. Following his time with the band ‘I Segreti di Oscar’, he embarked on his solo career by releasing the singles ‘Semplice’ (10 October 2018) and ‘Annapaola’ (26 March 2019), produced by Raf Qu (Raffaele Quarta). In 2019, he won the “Notte della rivolta” contest (La Rivolta Records), reached the final of contests organised by Radio Wau and Ci Vuole Un Paese, and performed at the Sei – Sud Est Indipendente Festival at CoolClub. Between March and June 2020, under the Discographia Clandestina label, he released the singles “Una canzone sconcia” and “Mi piacerebbe evitare #2”, which, together with “Scirea”, served as a prelude to the release of Tuma01. In the summer of 2020, he presented “A proposito di niente – Tuma interpreta… se stesso”, a show whose title was inspired by (or perhaps borrowed from) Woody Allen’s recent controversial autobiography. On 27 November 2020, he released his debut album, Tuma01, on the Discographia Clandestina label and distributed by Artist First.
