Jonida Prifti’s poems in Albanian (presented alongside Dafina Prifti’s translations) are like fragments of a warning, the ever-questioning oracle of a contemporary Cassandra who chooses to question herself about the reasons behind the body’s withdrawal. Accompanied, in this lucid estrangement, by Donatella Della Ratta’s ultra-short, frame-by-frame stories, which seek a plausible answer to the unusual ‘being a body at the end of March 2020’.
The Summer Solstice thus heralds the release of the second issue of *Camminamenti*, a small series of writing in motion, edited by Marthia Carrozzo for kurumuny Edizioni, and looks forward to welcoming you to the enchanting Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto to celebrate together the indispensable joy of finally coming together in person.
