AVANT Festival is a boutique music festival created to showcase the natural and architectural beauty of Puglia. The first edition will take place in the province of Lecce, a city renowned for its Messapian and Roman origins and for its vibrant Baroque style.
The festival offers an intimate and relaxing experience, providing complete immersion in the culture and traditions of the Salento region. The festival features a programme of daytime and evening events at a number of key locations in the hinterland and along the Adriatic coast.
The programme of activities will include avant-garde live music concerts, hiking trails and seaside walks, tours of architectural sites, tastings and much more.

The musical programme features Italian and international musicians from diverse and high-calibre artistic niches. Performers will include German electronic musician Grischa Lichtenberger (Raster), Austrian experimental drummer Black Pulse (Elektro Guzzi – Innode), saxophonist and electronic musician Laura Agnusdei, and the electro-folk trio Turbo Sud.
This year’s outdoor programme includes a coastal walk along the Adriatic coast with lunch, designed to bring the audience closer to the artists and the festival organisers. The planned route begins at the spectacular bay of Porto Badisco, one of the most picturesque spots in Salento, and continues towards the Grotta dei Cervi, renowned throughout Europe for its cave paintings, and Torre S. Emiliano, a watchtower at the foot of the cliff that served as a defence against Turkish and Saracen attacks.
