The “Record Fair” (free entry) is back – one of the most popular events of its kind in Italy, featuring exhibitors from all over the country. As well as stands dedicated to the world of recorded music, the fair will feature vintage and collectables stalls, presentations and showcases of records and books, and DJ sets.
In the age of digital technology and ‘liquid music’, what Simon Reynolds prophesied and theorised in his book *Retromania* has come to pass: a return to the past of music, a renewed affection not only for its content (reunions of legendary bands, reissues of jazz, pop and rock classics) but also for its physical formats (vinyl, and even cassette tapes).
