Big Sur

Big Sur is a place of invention and production of images, sounds, and visions, operating between Lecce and Rome. It is a laboratory always open to discussion, where communication projects are developed, events promoting audiovisual culture, and interventions for the protection, development, and valorization of people and territories. Within this space for design and creative exchange, graphic designers, photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, copywriters, musicians, and web designers meet and collaborate.

Since 1998, Big Sur has been developing identity projects and communication campaigns for companies, organizations, institutions, associations, theaters, and film production companies. It designs and organizes cultural events and social communication campaigns, produces documentary films and audiovisual formats, invents social communication artifacts (communication artifacts to enhance the creative resources of people in need), and creates opportunities for meeting and knowledge exchange through seminars and training activities.

Coolclub

Founded in 2004 to provide stability, continuity, and substance to the work carried out since the 1990s by the eponymous cultural association, the CoolClub Cooperative focuses on the production, planning, and communication of events, initiatives, and creative and cultural activities. After initially focusing on music production, CoolClub has expanded its expertise and offerings, dedicating itself to the creation and promotion of hundreds of cultural initiatives through collaboration with public and private entities and with the help of young professionals from diverse fields and sectors. From organization to executive production, from consulting and tender preparation to press office, from communications to publishing, from graphics to distribution of advertising materials, from photo/video reporting to social media management, CoolClub offers a unique service throughout Puglia.

Municipality of Corigliano d'Otranto

The Municipality of Corigliano d’Otranto is located in the lower Salento region. Together with nine other municipalities, it forms a Hellenophone linguistic island known as “Grecia Salentina,” where the Griko dialect is spoken, a linguistic and cultural bridge that distinguishes and enriches the history of this area.
Just under 6,000 inhabitants live in one of the municipalities with one of the most important historic centers in Salento. This is due to its size and the presence of architectural elements of great historical and artistic value. The strategic and aesthetic fulcrum is undoubtedly the Castello de’ Monti, from which radiate a series of points of interest represented by churches, military architecture, and historic buildings dating back to the Lecce Baroque period. A vibrant place, made up of places in constant dialogue, a space within the city that in recent years has been affected by a series of interventions aimed at its conservation, regeneration, and enhancement.
In addition to Castello de’ Monti, the project’s main site, the planned activities will directly or indirectly involve other spaces in the historic center: the Church of the Addolorata, built in neo-Gothic style between the 1820s and 1860s; the Church of the Madonna delle Grazie, dating back to the first half of the 17th century; the Chapel of the Madonna degli Angeli, built between the 16th and 17th centuries; and the Chapel of San Leonardo, erected at the end of the 15th century. The ancient portal known as Arco Lucchetti, built in 1497; the Quercia Vallonea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979; and the “Stone Paths and Itineraries,” recently recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

– From 2014 to 2020, Corigliano was awarded the Orange Flag for two consecutive three-year periods, a recognition of tourism and environmental quality awarded by the Touring Club Italiano (TCI).
– Corigliano d’Otranto is part of the Integrated Cultural System of Southern Salento, a cultural enhancement project presented by municipalities and associations of municipalities in the South, funded by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
– Networked with the municipalities of Grecia Salentina, it won the “Community Library” call for proposals aimed at supporting local, school, and university libraries.
– Corigliano d’Otranto, along with the other municipalities of Grecia Salentina, is part of the Authentic Villages of Italy network.
