Community-based workshops for artistic creation encourage the participation of the ‘Castle residents’
The Castle as a hotbed of art, a place of creation and artistic performance: this is how we envisaged it, and this is how we have seen it come to life and renew itself over time. A constant creative energy has provided meaningful experiences for adults and children alike, with workshops that have encouraged – and continue to encourage – the emotional involvement of the Castle’s ‘inhabitants’.
Particularly worth mentioning are our collaboration with the school in Corigliano D’Otranto, as well as the design and ceramics workshops – the former focused on creating light installations, the latter on craft objects. All of this has been carried out in collaboration with local organisations, with the aim of showcasing the expertise that defines us and highlighting craftsmanship as a core value of the Salento region.
The Castle, therefore, is like a vast, ever-evolving worksite capable of bringing these spaces to life, both through the enjoyment and the practice of the visual and performing arts.
