A dramatised tour and tastings in the village of Corigliano d’Otranto
organised by Big Sur in collaboration with the local council and the Corigliano d’Otranto InfoPoint
directed by Alessandra De Luca
A stroll to discover the stories of the present, a journey through reality amongst the narrow streets, squares, courtyards and the castle of this Griko town. A ‘living nativity scene’ featuring music, theatre, sounds and flavours, allowing you to immerse yourself in the stories of the residents, restaurateurs and artisans of one of Salento’s most fascinating historic centres. The tour will set off from Castello de’ Monti, winding its way through the village on an engaging journey featuring performances, tastings and songs, culminating in a ‘Journey through the lands of remorse’ amidst the images of the photographic exhibition on tarantism in the evocative Sala Tabaccaia of the Castello Volante.
The event takes place on Sunday 29 December at 7.00 pm in Piazza Castello at the Castello Volante infoPoint, where participants will register.
On Saturday 28 December at 6.00 pm, starting from Castello de’ Monti, there will be an opportunity to attend the ‘open rehearsal’. No booking is required to attend the dress rehearsals.
An initiative made possible thanks to the Apulia Region Info Point Enhancement Scheme – 2024.
