On Saturday 25 December (free entry – 7.30 pm – Super Green Pass required), the Christmas events at the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto, organised under the ‘Natale al Castello’ banner, continue with a musical selection curated by DJ Pupa De Maggio.
Pupa De Maggio, who has always been passionate about rock and electronic music, began her career as a radio presenter at just 13 years of age; later, she performed as a vocalist at numerous club events, whilst always harbouring a desire to move from the microphone to the turntables.
It was in 1994 that she officially began her career as a DJ, playing a mix of underground and house music at the Metropolis, in numerous other venues (discos and dancefloors) and then at the travelling GAYDAY party, right up to the Picador in Gallipoli.
Her sets are unpredictable, featuring electronic sounds, house, romantic tracks, echoes of the 80s and everything she likes to describe as ‘the wider scene’.
