Summer’s flying by – experience all the excitement of the village with your ‘heart in the clouds’!
The hot-air balloon flight scheduled for 10 August in Via Leopardi, Corigliano d’Otranto, has been POSTPONED for safety reasons due to the wind.
On Saturday 10 August, from 8.00 pm, the event originally planned for Via Leopardi will take place between Piazza San Nicola and Corigliano d’Otranto Castle. Music, food, street performers and an astronomical observatory will make the evening of shooting stars even more magical.
To ‘desiderare’ literally means ‘to feel the absence of the stars’ – a human condition linked to the perception of an absence and, consequently, to a sense of passionate seeking. It is in this spirit that the Night of San Lorenzo comes to life in Corigliano d’Otranto. From the castle to the village and out to the outskirts, where, thanks to a free ‘flight’ service in a hot-air balloon, you can enjoy a panoramic view and get closer to the stars and your own wishes.
