From next Friday, 24 June (free admission), Nuvole is getting a makeover. The works by Efrem Barrotta, which have adorned the Castello Volante bistro for a year, are making way for those by Enrica Ciurli and Leonardo Tondo as part of the ‘Àmati Amàti’ project. A collaborative project born precisely from the desire to bring together different approaches to research, styles and materials to create a series of ceramic objects that tell stories.
Visual artist Enrica Ciurli alternates her painting practice with running creative workshops in nursery schools or at private events, drawing inspiration from the art of Hervé Tullet, whilst Leonardo Tondo, since 2017 in his ‘Ceramica17’ workshop, has been experimenting with and refining colour techniques, exploring the world of ceramics with a particular focus on contemporary design.
‘It is our imperfections that define us as unique beings worthy of love, far removed from cold stereotypes or idealised visions of who we are.
