An ancient legend tells that the Castle was saved from a fierce siege thanks to the courage of new mothers and the sacrifice of their children. For this reason, on the occasion of their festival, all mothers visiting the castle or the Nuvole bistro with their families will receive a meaningful gift. We have chosen a limited-edition photographic print of the Statue of Charity that stands on the castle’s façade: a woman with a child tucked between her legs and another she is breastfeeding, a symbol of unconditional love for others.
The photograph is taken from the exhibition ‘Pietre che parlano’ by Adriano Nicoletti, one of three exhibitions currently on display in the castle’s galleries, all accessible with the same admission ticket.
This gift will be presented to all mums who visit the castle with their families or enjoy the delicacies of the Nuvole bistro on the terraces. Furthermore, the morning guided tours, as well as recounting the legend mentioned above, will provide an opportunity to share stories and anecdotes about the mothers who once lived in the castle.

N.B. For families of Corigliano residents, who are entitled to free entry for self-guided tours, the complimentary gift applies to the purchase of guided tours (with a reduced-price ticket) and to food and drink at Nuvole.
