On Friday 27 March, Improvvisart will return to the scene of the crime at Nuvole, the bistro on the terraces of the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto, with the Murder Mystery Dinner ‘A Stellar Crime’.
A story rich in intrigue, relationships and secrets, set in the glittering world of haute cuisine, where behind the elegance of the dining room and the creativity of the dishes lie ambitions, rivalries and interests that are anything but innocent.
What really lies behind the success of a renowned restaurant?
Perhaps the imagination and talent of the chefs, the professionalism and courtesy of the front-of-house staff, the impeccable selection of ingredients, or the attention paid to the ambience and the guests’ experience. Or perhaps the credit lies with brilliant, contemporary marketing, capable of transforming a restaurant into a must-visit destination for gourmets and food enthusiasts.
But when a famous and much-feared food critic enters this delicate balance, everything changes. Tension mounts, the balance is disrupted, and what seemed perfect begins to show its first cracks. Amidst personal ambitions, professional jealousies and secrets never revealed, the atmosphere becomes increasingly charged.
Because, behind every great kitchen, it is not always just passion that lies hidden. Sometimes, a crime is lurking.
‘Murder Mystery Dinner’ is a dinner-show that unfolds before the guests’ very eyes: the actors from Improvvisart will join the diners, mingle with the waiting staff or kitchen crew, or pretend to be the restaurant’s owners.

First course: Capunti with basil, confit cherry tomatoes and ‘formaggio povero’
Main course: Aubergines in a mushroom sauce with thyme and sage-roasted potatoes
