On Friday 20 June (9.00 pm | admission €7 | advance tickets available on Dice and at the box office), the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto is hosting the first edition of Music in the Castle, a new festival dedicated to the Apulian independent music scene.
An evening of live music and fun, featuring folk, pizzica, ska, rock and electronic music, in one of Salento’s most creative venues. Taking to the stage will be La Sottoscritta (a singer-songwriter with an alternative indie sound and jazz influences), Raffaella Roccasecca (an energetic singer who moves between rock, glam rock, pop rock, blues and rock ’n’ roll), Skarlat (a ska-punk band that has been delivering energy, fun and mass hysteria for twenty years), Luigi Bruno (singer and guitarist, frontman of Muffx and the Mediterranean Psychedelic Orkestra, founder of the Sbam Collective and Ill Sun Records, and artistic director of the Sagra del Diavolo and the MicroMega Festival), Mistura Louca (a ‘crazy mix’ that perfectly captures the band’s wide variety of musical styles), Edo Zimba (singer and tambourine player, son and artistic heir to the unforgettable king of pizzica, Pino Zimba), Na Rumba Gitana (a journey where the musical fusion of Catalonia and Cuba, flamenco and jazz creates a whirlwind of musical joy). Rounding off the evening will be DJ sets by Ennio Ciotta (trash and party vibes) and Luca Mpè (90s hits and sing-alongs).
Music, energy and a unique atmosphere: Music in the Castle is the perfect party to kick off the Salento summer. From 6.30 pm, on the terraces of Nuvole, the cocktail bar and bistro of the ancient manor, you can enjoy an aperitif and sample the revamped menu created by chef Lorenzo Bianco, whilst sipping a cocktail from the list carefully curated by Michele Contini.
Tickets cost €7 and are available in advance on Dice and at the box office
