The programme of events at the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto continues. On Saturday 4, 11 and 18 December (9.30 pm – free entry, green pass required) in the Noble Halls of Nuvole – Food, stories, cultures, the ancient manor’s workshop of taste and spirits – SEI d’autore takes centre stage.
The competition for young singer-songwriters under 30 – which forms part of the ‘SEI FESTIVAL – All Year Round’ project, promoted by Coolclub with the support of the Puglia Region (‘Custodiamo la cultura in Puglia 2021’ – FUS beneficiaries) – aims to discover six new talents who will compete over three evenings to win a cash prize, the chance to perform during the sixteenth edition of the SEI Festival, the opportunity to record a track at Funkeria Records, or support from a professional press office for the launch of a single.
On the first evening, the Taranto-based singer-songwriter Lovain and the very young Di Maggio from Lecce will compete before a jury comprising the Coolclub staff, the audience and an ‘external’ judge who will change every Saturday. The arbiter of the first challenge will be the flamboyant singer, musician, composer, songwriter and producer Carmine Tundo, frontman of the bands La Municipàl and Nu Shu, the alter ego of Diego Rivera and one of the three driving forces behind the new project Mundial.
SEI d’autore will continue with performances by Matteo Cuppone and Stefano Scorrano (Saturday 11 December), and Ludovica Pasca and Luigi (Saturday 18 December).
During the evenings, guests will be able to sample Nuvole’s street food and premium gin drinks menu, where the culinary culture of Salento meets that of the peoples who have passed through the region, giving rise to unique flavours (table bookings recommended on 3343429268).
