THE BLUEBEATERS
From Turin, masters of Italian ska and rocksteady.
Following the release of their latest track linked to ‘Shock!’ the single ‘Non sento più’, released in 2023 digitally and on vinyl, and as part of the tour named after it, The Bluebeaters will perform a set list drawn mainly from their last two albums featuring Pat Cosmo on vocals: ‘Everybody Knows’ (2015) and ‘Shock!’ (2020). The former, released on Record Kicks, is an album packed with super classics of the Jamaican genre (‘Somebody Has Stolen My Girl’, ‘I Don’t Know’) with a few forays into pop such as ‘Toxic’ or ‘When Love Takes Over’; the second, released on Garrincha Dischi, features original tracks all in Italian, including the single ‘Mamma Perdonami’ (feat. Coez) right up to ‘Non Sento Più’. In short, plenty of new material and still a great desire to get the audience dancing – this is the band par excellence that has been playing Jamaican ska and rocksteady with attitude and passion for 30 years. In fact, on 18 March 2024, The Bluebeaters celebrated the 30th anniversary of their first appearance on stage at the Hiroshima Mon Amour in Turin.
