Sulla giostra is a bittersweet comedy centred on two female characters whose lives are diametrically opposed. Irene, who lives and works in Rome, caught up in a thousand complicated matters, would like to finalise the sale of her family’s beautiful villa in Salento as quickly as possible, were it not for Ada, the elderly housekeeper, who, on a whim, refuses to leave the house… From this point, a series of events unfolds that will leave both women with a more authentic sense of what it means to be in the world – the light-heartedness and the fear of being on an unpredictable merry-go-round.
Introduction by Dina Manti
Mayor of Corigliano d’Otranto
The director will be in attendance
Following the screenings on the terraces and in the indoor auditoriums of “Nuvole – Food, Stories, Cultures”, the Castello Volante’s workshop of flavours and spirits, you’ll be able to enjoy street food and a drinks menu where the culinary culture of Salento meets that of the peoples who have passed through the region, giving rise to unique flavours.
