- LEEROY THORNILL
A long-standing member of The Prodigy, he juggles synths and wild dance moves that have always been the band’s trademark. Under the pseudonyms Longman and Flightcrank, he has developed his solo career by focusing on DJ sets that perfectly capture the raw energy expected of rave and big beat culture.
- ZION TRAIN
Zion Train are a British dub band. They formed in 1988 in Oxford as a sound system, founded by Neil Perch, Ben Hamilton and Ajax Scott, who were joined in 1990 by Colin Cod and Dave Tench after the group moved to London. In 1992, singer Molara joined the group. Their first recorded tracks were the singles ‘Power One’ and ‘Power Two’, which became hits on the dub scene in the early 1990s. In 1992, they released the single ‘Follow Like Wolves’, which, by blending dub and acid house, established them as innovators. Their second album, *Natural Wonders of the World in Dub* – a hit on the UK charts in 1994 – was followed by further EPs.
- INSINTESI
Insintesi were formed in 1998 in Lecce; their music draws on the sounds of dub, reggae and jungle music. After producing a series of remixes for various producers on the dub, electronic and house scenes, Insintesi released *Salento in dub* (AnimaMundi, 2010), which pioneered the ‘Salento world groove’ – a modern fusion of jungle, dub and world music. A modern and personal musical language through which Francesco Andriani de Vito and Alessandro Lorusso filter the region’s traditional music (pizzica, reggae, Balkan) via dub techniques and rhythms, reinterpreting tracks by some of Salento’s most significant artists such as Sud Sound System, Salentorkestra, Opa Cupa and Après la Classe, whilst also producing new tracks featuring the vocals of Anna Cinzia Villani, Treble, Alessia Tondo and Papa Gianni. Having released a number of other productions and projects by the two DJs/producers, Insintesi are now back with “Alba”.

- ADA ODA
The irresistible post-punk of our Italian expats.
They’re from Brussels, there are four of them, and their album of anthems to desperate love has one rather striking feature: all the tracks are sung in Italian, the language of Victoria’s parents – the singer is the daughter of a man from Palermo who emigrated to Belgium in the 1950s – and she is the undisputed star of the Belgian band’s debut album, entitled *Un amore debole*. An Italian that sounds strange, jagged and disjointed, however, both in its sound and in its grammatical structures – and for this very reason, irresistible. The result is unique and delirious. Ada Oda’s mission is to find the meeting point between 1980s post-punk and Italian song.
- LELAND DID IT
A band from Puglia that combines alternative rock and post-punk sounds with electronic music. Following two promotional tours of Italy (2015 and 2016), the band was selected for the ‘Linecheck’ festival in Milan as one of the four emerging acts of 2016. Their 2018 Italian tour followed a hiatus, during which the line-up changed. The line-up was reduced from five to four members; they experimented with a different sound, joined the Dischi Uappissimi roster and began recording their new album.
- HEY! HIMALAYA
A project comprising four young men who, born and raised in Lecco, pursue their own musical projects in parallel. In 2019, they came together with the aim of embarking on a new journey, experimenting with sounds that blend singer-songwriter styles with electronic music. Delving ever deeper into songwriting, between 2020 and 2021 they rearranged some of the tracks written by the singer in previous years, recording for “Triginta” their first LP (due for release in September 2022), featuring José Cavallaro on vocals, acoustic/baritone guitar and bass, Giulio Bonacina on keyboards, Luca Impelliccieri on rhythm section and Nicolò Corti on synthesisers, bass and live electronics. Notable live performances include gigs at the Locomotiv Club (BO), Sofar Bologna (BO), Mare Cultura Urbano (MI), Arci Tambourine (MB), Làbas (BO) and Mercato Sonato (BO). In April 2022, as finalists in “Musicisthebest” – a competition organised by the Emilia-Romagna region and Panico Concerti – they recorded the single ‘Vibrisse’ at Bruno Germano’s Vacuum Studio. In October 2022, their self-titled debut album *Hey!Himalaya* was released, promoted through various live performances including at Arcipelago in Cremona and Cortile Cafè (BO). They are also winners of the seventh edition of the Buscaglione Prize, held at Off Topic and Cap10100 (Turin). This award enabled them to secure eleven dates at various festivals across Italy. Since February 2023, they have been collaborating with ArteSettima on a surrealist project combining cinema and musical improvisation.
- “Andar per stelle” Guided tour in search of stars and wishes at 7.30 pm
Look up and keep a watchful eye so as not to miss the stars as they pass through the streets of Corigliano and the Castle. Since ancient times, the world of the sky and the stars has held great significance for humankind and has always influenced all forms of artistic expression. Like ancient navigators, we shall rely on the stars as our precious guides: those framing the baron on the Castle’s façade, the ‘Terrible Astrea’ positioned beside them, the ‘fabulous’ eight-pointed star of the Arco Lucchetti, and the stars in the coats of arms of noble families. A journey at the end of which all that remains is to close your eyes and make a wish.
From 8.30 pm until midnight, we can observe the stars through telescopes on the castle terraces together with the Astrofili Salentini group.
Tour price: 10 euros > also includes entry to the evening event
