On Sunday 25 August in Corigliano d’Otranto, there’ll be an evening dedicated to Italian singer-songwriter music.
At 8.30 pm (free entry – info and table bookings on 3343429268 – nuvole@ilcastellovolante.it), the event will kick off on the terrace of Nuvole, the cocktail bar and bistro at Castello Volante, in collaboration with Coolclub and Sei Festival, with a presentation and concert to mark the launch of the book “Musica e parole. A Brief History of Singer-Songwriting in Italy” by music critic Paolo Talanca (Carocci Editore), accompanied by singer-songwriter Massimo Donno.
At 10.00 pm (free entry) in Piazza Vittoria, as part of Italea – the official programme promoting ‘roots tourism’ organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Culture within the PNRR Project and funded by NextGenerationEU – the Lato B quartet will take to the stage with a tribute to Lucio Battisti. Leo Pari (vocals, acoustic guitar, piano), Gianluca De Rubertis (vocals, bass, piano), Dario Ciffo (vocals, electric guitar) and Lino Gitto (drums) present a show that engages audiences of all ages, getting them to sing and dance along.
