‘Leggimi la Puglia’ returns to the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto – an event organised by @infopoint_coriglianodotranto that brings together books, images and local places.
This first autumn event is dedicated to the book *Altera Italia* by Alessia Rollo and to the exhibition of the same name, staged in the Castello’s Noble Halls as part of the *Visioni del Sud* exhibition programme.
The book, published by the young publishing house @miracoli_visivi, brings together a decade’s worth of research in which the visual artist critically re-examines the imagery constructed by anthropological and documentary photography of Southern Italy between the 1950s and 1960s. Archival material and contemporary photographs are interwoven within a narrative that guides the reader through places, rituals and images.
