Swapmuseum is the place where young people and museums come together to enrich cultural environments through an exchange of time, creativity and rewards.
Here are the three proposals from the ‘In the Duke’s Fortress’ project, at the Castello Volante in Corigliano d’Otranto:
- “In the Duke’s Fortress” – Escape room in the castle
After a guided tour and in-depth research into the castle’s history, the swappers will create the content for a special ‘Castello Volante’-style escape room, packed with quizzes, practical tasks and puzzles that visitors must solve to win the challenge.
- “In the Duke’s Fortress” – ‘Castello Volante’ kit
Following a guided tour and an in-depth exploration of the castle’s history, the Swappers create a kit featuring educational and fun activities, making a self-guided tour of the castle a breeze for families. The aim is to design the content and graphic design in collaboration with the professionals at Big Sur, a communications company and operator of the castle’s Infopoint.
- “In the Duke’s Fortress” – Costumed Castle Residents
Following a guided tour and an in-depth look at the castle’s history, the Swappers will design and then create, using recycled materials and with a focus on sustainability, simple historical costumes for educational experiences in costume for schools. During the summer, these same costumes will be used to create the COSTUME ROOM, an additional service designed to enhance self-guided visits by families.
DURATION of each activity: 20 hours
PERIOD of each activity: from March to the end of July 2023
PARTICIPANTS per call: minimum 2, maximum 5, aged between 16 and 30
PRIZES: €20 vouchers per activity
