9.30 pm – CONCERT by the Piazza Vittorio Orchestra Octet
A project launched in 2002 by a group of artists, intellectuals and cultural practitioners with the aim of promoting the eponymous Piazza dell’Esquilino in Rome – the city’s quintessential multi-ethnic neighbourhood – which, over its 20 years of activity, has performed throughout Italy and abroad.
The repertoire presented is the result of years spent playing together, constantly reworking the musical material, which is presented here in a more stripped-back form, conveying to the listener the emotions and sensations the musicians feel when a song by a single musician becomes the song of all the musicians in the orchestra.
On stage: Carlos Paz Duque (Ecuador – vocals and flutes), Houcine Ataa (Tunisia – vocals), Ziad Trabelsi (Tunisia – vocals and bass), Peppe D’Argenzio (saxophone), Duilio Galioto (keyboards), Emanuele Bultrini (guitar), Pino Pecorelli (bass), Davide Savarese (drums).
Tickets for the concert are available on Eventbrite: https://bit.ly/OPV_LaFestaDiUasc
