Description
‘Meridian thought’ is that which arises when the sun is at its highest; it does not rush, but contemplates.
The afternoon tours are those that explore the South with awareness, curiosity and wonder.
These are guided tours that are different every time, aimed at both those who live in Salento day in, day out and those visiting for the first time. The tours are designed to surprise, to tell stories and to help you rediscover the region, going beyond the picture-postcard spots.
The journey begins at Castello De’ Monti, the noble yet down-to-earth heart of Corigliano d’Otranto, and from there a new path unfolds each time: through hidden alleyways, secret gardens, traces of the past, hidden art and unexpected encounters.
Every event is different: there might be a special guest, a one-off opening of a venue that’s normally closed, or a fresh theme that shifts your perspective — a word, a plant, a forgotten story.
To make the experience even more special, the tour always concludes on the terraces of Nuvole, the castle’s bar and bistro, with an aperitif whilst watching the sunset, where we raise a glass to the beauty of taking our time to appreciate the view.
“Afternoon Visits” is an invitation to slow down, observe and listen. To experience Salento not as a backdrop, but as a story. A story to tell together.
