Corigliano d’Otranto becomes the ideal setting for a journey of rediscovery of places overlooked by history. A wild and untamed natural world, long kept at bay, is reclaiming houses, alleyways and nooks and crannies. The town loses its original function as a defence against the outside world, allowing itself to be overrun by wild creatures that are not always welcome, but are harmless. These animals slither along the town’s main streets, occupying ten of the many abandoned dwellings in the village, reawakening memories of lives linked to the nearby countryside. Snakes hoping to become part of the village’s daily life, breathing new, wild life into it.
