Visions of Calafuria

photographs by Piero Percoco
in collaboration with Tormaresca and its Calafuria rosé

Calafuria is the Apulian rosé that has been included in the list of the world’s top 100 wines. Made from Negroamaro grapes grown at the Masseria Maìme estate in San Pietro Vernotico, in the Salento region, it is one of Tormaresca’s flagship wines. The Antinori family’s estates embody the two souls of Puglia: that of the almost lunar landscape of the Murge, with Bocca di Lupo in Minervino; and the lush landscape of San Pietro Vernotico, between Brindisi and Lecce, where the vineyards are flanked by woods and olive groves that stretch as far as the eye can see, blending into the sea. As has been the case every year for the past four years, the new vintage is accompanied by a gift for wine enthusiasts: a limited edition featuring artist-designed labels.

This year, the special edition has been entrusted to photographer Piero Percoco, who has transformed the labels into photographic portraits capturing moments of Puglia, of warmth, of the sea and of summer. The limited edition can be ordered in boxes of six and contains five magnums featuring the photographs and one with the classic label.
