With Come mio padre nella casa di suo padre, Marco Cazzato – an illustrator and visual artist working across publishing and music – presents an exhibition of illustrations, published works and videos. The project brings together works from Album (GRRRz Comic Art Books, 2016), I Sepolcri di Ugo Foscolo (Il Saggiatore, 2021), Racconti di Umanità (Matera Capitale 2019 project, Corraini, 2019), alongside a video installation based on the performances Nomadic. Canto per la biodiversità by Telmo Pievani and Gianni Maroccolo (2024) and Alone by Gianni Maroccolo (2018–2020). Anonymous photographic archives, family memories, figures from the literary tradition, folk tales and lived landscapes make up a body of work in which the South becomes a space of genealogies, migrations and belonging. The images, often derived from private photographs and traces that have survived the disappearance of their original contexts, do not reconstruct a complete memory but follow the forms through which it continues to resurface.
