“Chapter 1” is the first video art piece created in 2015 by the artist Andy Trema; the theme explored is that of self-destruction, or “catharsis”. A ritual leading to liberation from suffering, a therapeutic process – as defined in philosophy by Plato – an act aimed at purification from inner evils. The video was created entirely by the artist, who combined his experience as a videomaker with his background in music. The role of the “twisted woman” is played by Paola Spagnulo, a young actress from Puglia.
