MUSE

a photography exhibition by Guido Harari

From 17 December to 6 January, the historic manor house in Corigliano d’Otranto will host Guido Harari’s photographic exhibition, MUSE.

Harari, one of Italy’s most celebrated music photographers, has selected over forty portraits from his vast archive, featuring great female icons from the history of music from the 1970s to the present day. Patti Smith, Nina Simone, Joni Mitchell, Laurie Anderson, Fatoumata Diawara, Tina Turner, Kate Bush, Joan Baez, Skin, Debbie Harry, Patty Pravo, Gianna Nannini, Tracy Chapman, Mercedes Sosa, Mia Martini, Loredana Berté, Milva and Siouxsie Sioux are just some of the subjects featured in the photographs on display, printed in a special red-and-gold colour scheme and accompanied by an audio guide narrated by Licia Lanera.

GUIDO HARARI (1952) is a photographer, author, exhibition curator, gallery owner
and publisher. He has long collaborated with leading Italian and international musicians, for whom
he has designed countless album covers: including, amongst many others, Andrea Bocelli, Kate Bush, Vinicio Capossela, Paolo Conte, David Crosby, Pino Daniele, Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Ligabue, Paul McCartney, Lou Reed, Vasco Rossi, Simple Minds and Frank Zappa.
Over the years, he has also explored photojournalism, institutional portraiture, advertising and fashion, working with leading Italian and international publications. He has numerous exhibitions and illustrated books to his credit.
